About
Sara Ruffin (RYT-500) is a Tantra Hatha yoga teacher based in Pasadena, California with more than a decade of teaching experience. Rooted in the tradition of Krishnamacharya, her classes weave Tantric philosophy, embodied practice, and a deep reverence for the divine feminine.
Sara first immersed herself in Jivamukti yoga in San Francisco before moving to Los Angeles and completing her advanced studies in Para Yoga under Rod Stryker and René Quenell. A devoted lifelong student, she continues to expand her education in yoga therapy, yoga nidra, and meditation, cultivating an ever-deepening relationship with the lineage and the living tradition of yoga. She also maintains close ties with Esalen and the Himalayan Institute and travels to India to study Sanskrit, yoga philosophy, and Ayurveda.
Through her private/group classes and retreats, Sara loves to offer spaces for connection, devotion, and the exploration of inner liberation. Beyond the mat, she draws inspiration from her roles as a wife and mother to two young sons, bringing warmth, wisdom, and an abiding sense of joy to her life on and off the mat.
